Hi, what’s your name? Marie Smith

What type of business do you own? An animal rescue & online store for my photos that I take and eventually I’ll also have my crafts there too.

In what city & state is this business located? Calhan, Colorado

What type of products do you make/sell? I take photographs of the world around me & also make crafts such as hats, vinyl decals, scarfs, beaded items.

What is your top 3 best selling items? Hats, various different vinyl decals, photos.

What makes your business and/or your products different than your competitors? All the monies made go to feed & care for the animals we rescue here on our ranch.

What inspired you to start your own business? I stay home, run the ranch & care for the animals daily. I wanted a way to help my husband bring money in for the expenses & bills here.

How do you manage your schedule around your children? My kids are older now so they can do things for themselves now and they help out a LOT around the ranch with the chores & critters.

How long have you been in business? We’ve been here on the ranch going on 3 years now.

Are there any new products coming soon that we can get a sneak peek of? Not off the top of my head other than a photograph that I haven’t taken yet. I also sell Avon & Cello in a Box & am looking to start another business.

Anything special you would like to tell my readers about yourself or your business that I didn’t ask you? There are many ways to get assistance or help if you are having a hard time caring for a pet. Many people don’t think to check into rescues in their areas.
